The Shape of Scent at MTL Olfaction
Aug 29, 2026
A Multi-Sensory Workshop
Does a scent have a shape? In The Shape of Scent, we explore the connections between smell and form.
Led by Heather from chimie and freelance perfumer Léa Hiram, this two-hour workshop draws inspiration from the kiki bouba phenomenon, a classic experiment in human perception that revealed when people across cultures were shown two shapes and asked which was which, almost everyone answered the same way.
A scent can carry a shape, a weight, a texture, qualities that go far beyond what we expect from smell alone. Come discover scents inspired by kiki and bouba.
